Dr. Johnny Pope

Dr. Johnny Pope is the senior pastor of Christchurch Baptist Fellowship, in Houston, Texas. In 2006, Dr. Pope and the church celebrated his 25th anniversary as pastor.

Dr. Pope studied for the ministry at Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. Upon graduation, he and his wife, Barbara, spent 10 years in evangelism followed by three years on the faculty of Hyles-Anderson.

A favorite preacher for many, Dr. Pope is in constant demand by churches and conferences coast to coast, and spanning the globe. In the last year, he has spoken in over 20 states, as well as Canada and Germany.

Dr. and Mrs. Pope have been married since 1973, and have four children.

Dennis Wilkening

Associate Pastor

Dennis Wilkening is the associate pastor of Christchurch Baptist Fellowship, in Houston, Texas. A graduate of Pensacola Christian College, he has worked in christian education and youth ministry since 1997. Pastor Wilkening’s ministry at Christchurch includes overseeing the youth department and the eight acre Christchurch campus with its four acres of buildings.

Pastor Wilkening ans Mrs. Wilkening have been married since 1995 and have two homeschooled children.
