Christchurch supports more than 75 missionaries worldwide.

The Women's Missionary Sorority writes letters, sends birthday/anniversary cards and provides general support to the missionaries of the church.

Schedule

AWANA
·    Three year old through sixth grade meet for Christchurch’s AWANA Club throughout the school year for a program that combines games and activities with solid Bible teaching. AWANA puts a strong emphasis on Bible memorization. To enroll a student or ask for more information, contact our AWANA Director, Keith Lemons.
·    Parents, you are the key to helping your children remember to work on their verses. You could also help them memorize their verses. It can be a fun time! Be creative! Talk about quality time!

IMPACT
·    For 7th thru 12th grades
·    IMPACT's Wednesday night program is a high energy competition that focuses on Bible memory, preaching and games. Each week our teams face off in exciting head to head competition. Wednesday nights take on a totally different feel from any of our other programs... you will be glad you came. The character building sermons and lighter atmosphere will make any guest feel right at home.

YOUTH DEPARTMENT

IN HIS HANDS PUPPET MINISTRIES
·    For Christchurch 7th grade and higher puppeteers including adults.
·    Puppet training and rehearsals at 4:30pm every Sunday and an all-day workshop the first Sunday of the month.
·    Performs for the Christchurch childrens' church each Sunday morning and will be going out into the community to do puppet shows.

Chldren's Ministries

NURSERY
·    For ages newborn through three years old
·    Available for Sunday School and all services
·    Opportunities include:  helping once a month during one of the services, helping weekly during Sunday School

CHILDREN'S CHURCH
·    For ages 4 to 5 and grades 1st through 6th
·    Conducted during the Sunday morning Worship Service
·    Designed to meet the children on their level of understanding through music, puppets, drama and Bible teaching

AWANA CLUBS
·    For 3 year olds through 6th graders
·    Offered during the school year on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
·    Includes a time of games and Bible teaching with a strong emphasis on Scripture memorization

CHILDREN'S CHOIR
·    For 1st through 5th graders
·    Practices are held for 10 minutes after Sunday evening services
·    The choir periodically performs during Sunday evening services

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
·    Five days of Bible study, activities, crafts, fun and games

Ladies Ministries

WOMEN'S MISSIONARY SORORITY
·    Usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
·    Provides an opportunity for the ladies of CBF to be brought up-to-date on our missionaries and to become acquainted with other ladies in the church
·    Through WMS we have established a pantry to help our missionaries, the members of our church, the community, and the victim relief team helping those in need caused by a disaster

PRAYER CHAIN
·    Day, Evening and Emergency groups of ladies are praying for specific prayer requests.
·    Prayer requests may be directed through our church office and will be given out to the appropriate prayer chain operating during that particular time or for that special request

LADIES BIBLE STUDY
·    New studies begin periodically
·    Each session includes a 45-minute video by Beth Moore and small group discussion of the previous week's homework

PRECEPT BIBLE STUDY
·    Meets on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
·    New studies begin periodically
·    Each session includes a 45-minute video by Kay Arthur and discussion of the previous week's inductive Bible study homework. Teaching childcare provided for infants through elementary-age children

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

ALIVE AT 5:00 PRAYER
·    Early morning Men’s Prayer Meeting
·    Tuesday and Thursdays at 5 a.m.
·    Saturday at 7:00 a.m.
·    Starbucks Coffee Club after prayer

MEN’S ATHLETICS
·    CBF sponsors teams for various sports leagues throughout the year.

Ministry Service Opportunities

CHOIR
·    For ages 15 and up
·    Practices are held on Sunday from 4:15-5:45 p.m. and for 10 minutes after the Wednesday night Bible study
·    The choir's two-fold purpose is to bring praise to God while preparing hearts for the preaching of God's Word

VISITATION & EVANGELISM
·    Mondays from 5:50-6:50 p.m.
·    Tell our community about Jesus Christ and His Gospel
·    Learn how to become a soul winner
·    Saturdays from 10a.m. to Noon
·    Mondays from 5:50-6:50 p.m.
·    Training available

USHERS
·     Assist in seating our members and guests, obtain hearing assistance devices for those who request them, receive the offering, and assist in maintaining an atmosphere of worship during the services

GREETERS
·     An opportunity to greet visiting families and acquaint them with the church and our facilities
·     Qualifications include a quick smile and extended hand and faithful attendance

PARKING LOT SECURITY
·     A service provided by men in the church who volunteer once a month to watch over the vehicles during the Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services as a prevention against vandalism and theft
·    Men are needed to volunteer once a month to watch over the parking lot vehicles during the Sunday morning services

AUDIO VISUAL
·     Contribute your technical talent to create the best listening and visual experience at Christchurch
·    Opportunities to serve include mixing live audio, lighting, camera operation, edit/switch video, recording messages for the audio ministry, support of multiple sound systems used for Christchurch ministries, special projects
·     Serve in regular services, special meetings, weddings, funerals
·     Closed circuit live television is provided to the foyer and nursery
·     CDs and Podcasts of each message are recorded

AUDIO WEB PODCAST AND CD MINISTRY
·     Add the Christchurch Podcast feed and have sermons delivered automatically (mp3) or add this link to your RSS reader: http://www.christchurchbaptist.org/podcast.xml
·     CDs are available for $4 /CD donation ($5 if mailed) that funds the equipment, media, material and free distributions
·     Opportunities to serve include duplicating CDs, printing labels, tracking orders, mailing CDs, distributing CDs on site

·     Keep the members informed of activities
·     Be responsible for a ministry area of the website

FELLOWSHIP

BIBLE STUDY
·    Sunday School is the foundational strategy in a local church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible study groupsthat engage people in evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
·    Sunday School for all ages including adult men, adult ladies, couples classes, young adults, young mothers, Spanish class, college & career, and a newcomers class
·    Our adult bible study classes begin at 9:20am.
